This position has the responsibility of undertaking a range of labouring tasks and small to medium plant operation associated with the construction, repair, and maintenance of Council’s infrastructure. The Works Assistant is required to undertake duties in a safe, effective, and efficient manner to meet Council’s requirements and specifications.About YouEssential requirementsCurrent Class MR drivers’ licenceWH&S General Induction Training for construction sitesLiteracy and numeracy skills to complete relevant documentation required for the jobDemonstrated experience in construction and maintenance activities of infrastructure relevant to CouncilAbility to adapt procedures to suit situationsDemonstrated ability to inspect and maintain plant and equipment to maximise operationsSalaryYearly Salary $49,212 - $57,408 (dependent upon skills and experience) based on 38 hour week + 10% super.
